John, It sounds like you may have found a temporary work-around. Try breaking the database up into smaller files. Most people generally have problems when importing more than 2000 records. Regarding networking. This version will allow you to read and write to other calendars and address books across the network…

John, I'm glad you got it running. Look for additional patches in the next several days. Dean Okna Tech
Howard, We have not tested DTS with Windows'95, and the macros were designed for Word 6.0 for windows, not NT. Sorry, we really cannot troubleshoot your problem. Dean Okna Tech
Clifford, We have been able to duplicate your problems and are going to have development work on a patch. Dean Okna Tech
Tim, I was not able to duplicate what you mentioned regarding paging, as my paging service does not give the busy signal to show completed. You may need to experiment to see what happens. Are you using an alpha-numeric pager or a digital one? Dean Okna Tech
We are still aware of promlems in importing. Look for patches on-line in the next several weeks. We have not fully tested DST with Windows NT. The true network version is still some time away. Dean Okan Tech
Bill, What are your dialing formats? Dean Okna Tech
John, You're Welcome! Dean
John, Martine said, "You're Welcome!" Dean Okna Tech
Charlie, We have been able to duplicat the problem here. Look for the patch in the next several weeks. Dean Okna Tech
Marc, I will forward the suggestion to development. You may want to consider creating a topic or group for frequently used numbers. Dean Okna Tech
Tim, As long as you don't have the retries set at a rediculous number, you shouldn't have a problem with the line being tied uo. I was able to get alarms to page using Notify when in start up. Dean Okna Tech
Dialer
Message #71628
Jeff, Try renaming dialer.opt to dialer.old and see if this helps. We have had similar reports and are trying to pin down the problem. Dean Okna Tech
Joseph, Carefully check all of your settings again and see if you can find any differences. You may consider using a back-up from work and restoring it at home to transfer the dialer settings. This will overwrite all of your data, so make sure you have a back-up of your…
Steven, Which brand/model printer are you using? Which print driver? Try creating a new envelope style from scratch and see if you can print it. If this doesn't work, you may want to try to re-install DTS.
Miriam, I'm not familiar with all of them; I would consult your WFW.311 manual for more information on that subject. Dean Okna Tech
Eric, DTS can support DDE commands as a server only. Access would be able to read from DTS, but not the other way around. I will make sure that development is aware of your suggestions for consideration in future releases. Dean Okna Tech
Herb, Try highlighting an event and going to edit/recurring and change the range to infinity, and then click ok. It should extend the events duration. Dean Okna Tech
Art, After deleting calendar.rsm, when you opened the file did you hold down ctrl+shift and double click on the entry? Can you open other calendars, ar create new ones? Dean Okna Tech
Eric, I'm sorry I underestimated. The disks will be in production as soon as all known bugs are fixed. Procedures for Updating to DeskTop Set version 4.1b Who is eligible? Anyone who owns version 4.0 or 4.1a is eligible for a free update. Version 3.0 users may upgrade to version…
Arnold, We are still working on the import utility in 4.1b. Look for additional patches on-line in the next several weeks. Dean Okna Tech
James, We have re-uploaded the file; it should be re-posted in the next day or so. Dean Okna Tech
Richard, Is this happeing with all reminders or just particular ones? It sounds like you have the same book selected as white and yellow pages. Switch to yellow pages. Open another book, or create a new one there. Then switch to white pages. See if the problem persists. Dean Okna…
Bill, Have you tried to change the dialing formats for the individual numbers to long distance. This is done in address book; dialer/options. Dean Okna Tech
Craig, In dialer, go to file/setup/dialer there is a default logging pull-down menu there. Dean Okna Tech
David, Did scandisk find any problems; did you create an undo file? Try using the undo file or re-installing DTS. Dean Okna Tech
Sandy, The tilde appears to the left of 1 key on most keyboards(~). Use the ascii code 126 (hold down the alt key and enter the code) if you don't have the character on your keyboard. Dean Okna Tech
Jeff, The PC Speaker driver is most likely causing this problem. Try removing it from the control panel/drivers section. Dean Okna Tech
Kenneth, No release date has been set. We hope to have it completed and available in the next several weeks. Dean Okna Tech
Jeff, Exactly how are you trying to access speed dialer and what error messages are you getting? Dean Okna Tech
Art, Delete calender.rsm from your \desktop directory. Start calendar. Hold down ctrl+shift and double click on the calendar file. Go TO file/utilities/unlock events. Dean Okna TEch
Roy, Send us a copy of your backup and a calendar file that you are having a problem with. We will have development take a look and see if they can fix the problem. Dean Okna Tech
Wes, It should be available in our library as #d windows library file. It appears as CTL3dV.dll; rename it to CTl3DV2.dll. Dean Okna Tech
David, Did scandisk find any problems? If so, did you create an undo disk? You may want to try using the undo and see if it helps. Dean Okna Tech

Barry, I'll let you know when we here from development. I just passed on the info to keep you posted. Dean Okna Tech
Stephen, It sounds silly, but have you chosen fonts and sizes for the addresses. They are not set automatically, and could cause a problem if not chosen. Dean Okna Tech
Louis, You're not the only one. This has been suggested many times to development. It will not be in 4.1b, but may be in the following version; the print driver is being redesigned. Dean Okna Tech
John, We were unable to duplicate your problem. Make sure that you either have the update files dated 2/27 or the old ones plus the patch1.exe file. If this is the case, then try to re-install. Dean Okna Tech
Louis, 4.1b will actually have improved file sharing capabilities. Regarding printing a phone book? Can you not print at all, or just not print only a topic page? You can assign them to a category and then print that category. Dean Okna Tech
Louis, Have you recently upgraded to 4.1b, or did they just randomly disappear? Dean Okna Tech

Steven, Most likely your margins need adjusting. In file/print setup/envelope styles there is a test button. Use this on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet and then adjust the margins accordingly. Dean Okna Tech
Jeff, There is no way to transpose the entries from your old dialer. We will try to avoid this problem in future releases. Dean Okna Tech
