S3D Lettering
Message #4169
I have a problem with my words curving at the ends. From reading, I think it's partly from the lens setting of the camera, but it could also be from the settings. I'm thinking perhaps it COULD be the depth setting. Anyone have any help to clear this up for…

Brian: What an excellent note. I'm keeping this for future reference. I also appreciated the lighting tips. Another tip given to me about lighting is that it's like stage lighting and that reference material relating to that type of lighting will be of use with our program. Jinny

Robert: When you are rendering, do you have all of your objects in the view well? they all have to be in the view for you to see them. Then you must move each object to the "Move" well, in order to manipulate them to your satisfaction. First move them…

#Material Settings list?

Michael: George has the full version, and I have S3D, but I'll give you a short answer. There is much more to the bigger program. I have a demo of VR and it looks pretty good to me. In my demo, there are several room renderings that look quite realistic.…
Translucent material
Message #3183
George and Nick: I did go back and look at the settings for the blue material. I had the General Op. setting at: 0.449, Edge:0, High:0, Hilite size:.083 I did try setting it to more gray, just for the heck of it. Now that I think about it, I believe…

#Material
Message #3128
Hi. Ok, I have a question. I drew an object, really just a rough outline of a computer. When I first rendered it, I placed a blue plastic material on it, and it looked pretty darn good… (I rendered the backface of the object so it was solid.) Now, using…

George: I doubt that sincerely… but thanks!! I read in the advertisement about your program (VR) that you have 1000 textures in your program.. have you found them yet? I made an interesting material last night… I used a photo file of some coins, cropped it to a smaller size,…

Simply 3D file upload
Message #2912
Nick: were you able to unzip my files, and have a look at them? Jinny
George: for some strange reason, CIS changes files so that they have a 000 extension… so just change the file name to (probably this is it… Davis.000 to Davis.zip The actual file name of the zipped file was flite.zip but when it's sent, it changes… one of those mysteries of…

Hi George: I got your latest note…will answer it as soon as I send up this. Thanks for resending. I'm working on the tutorials now, and am liking the program better… (not the manual, but the program…) }:> Jinny
George: Have you been able to do anything with the program yet? If not or if you are having problems, I'll tell you how and what I've done so far… (If Nick doesn't get mad at me for posting it here…) }:> Jinny
Thanks Nick… were you able to find anyone to discuss our problem with the 32 bit Disk access? I may give the controller company another call, or maybe fax them… and see if they have any answers. However, I am able to use the program, and will start on the…

Nick: This morning I discovered a demo for Visual Reality on a CD from Corel Unleashed. VR really seems like a wonderful program. I'm making progress… but I don't think I'm gonna watch that demo TOOOOO much… I won't be satisfied with S 3D if it do… }:> Jinny

Nick: We have installed this program quite a few times in the past week. The first time and subsequent 2 times, it crashed the system. The first time it ate up the Fat files, and the last 2, it ate up lots of my Window directory. We think we have…
