Daniel, I should have thought to tell you to try that. The NEC unit is SCSI-1 and does not support sync transfer. Other people have had the exact same problem. I'm glad to hear you got it working though. -C

You might want to check out the Beta CD-ROM driver in the Library's. It might work better, your problem though is likely to be the CD-ROM controller card. You might try an Adaptec SCSI controller instead (more money I know) but is well supported with OS/2 2.0. -C

You will need to load a hardware driver for the PAS board, then MSCDEX which will create a DOS drive letter you can access your CD-ROM from. Check your manuals for proper instructions.

That's correct. The input from the CD-ROM to the SBPro is analog audio. The next generation of SCSI-2 CD-ROM's are supossedly going to have direct digital via the SCSI bus to the SCSI-2 controller card. But for now it's analog. -C

I did'nt get the cable with my Pro. I had to order it from CL. I did'nt think they included it with the CD-ROM. Still it's nice to get the sound in through the CD-ROM channel. -C

Bob, the thing to check is the DMA jumpers and the IRQ jumpers. Just be very careful to configure the two boards for separate settings. You might also change the Base Address if the two might conflict.
