Particles??? How??? Grady III
I've just recently started using AOL… I might upload a portion ofa n animation I am doing… It is a hallway with a flickering light… It was so easyto achieve with the Channels… Grady III
If I am not mistaken the sysop of this area moves files… If you need to upload, and the people here are really interested, There is room in the Grafix User GRoup forum… maybe we can take up shop there??? Grady III
I agree, I like the Sclpture interface actually… Nothing in my way, button at the top, no CTRL-LETTER KEYS, Simple keys like G=Group… etc… I like that… Although material module is a little difficult, I am getting used to it a little bit… Procedural textures are great.. And really interesting……
I agree with all of your points about the power of a:m and the use of other programs along with it… A:M was never meant to be a super-seefect-based 3ds studio program… Although collision detection would be an addded addition… Since it would be easier to animate walking characters on…

#Basic Materials
Message #3331
Who ever downloaded the materials… what did you think of them??? Do they need to be updated??? Modified??? Did they totally suck?? Did they sort of suck??? I may finish some of the "metal" textures and upload them, if people actually like them… or use them… Grady III
Lee, The stupidly pointless scene transitions show that the story sucks so bad that they have to take up quantities of time with essentially boring imagry to constanly distract the viewer so they don't spend too much time saying "This really sucks!". At least that's how I feel when I…
>Unfortunately, the only file are we have to work with is the one… I'd love it if you >guys would start uploading! > Steve, Hash Inc. I have already uploaded some materials… and I am working on some more… I'm am also in the process of uploading some figures, segments……
If this is for the PC Version, i need it also… thanx… Grady III btw: how much does another dongle cost???
Well… I uploaded some textures.. I guess you can call them colors… Approximately 115 colors for animation master, a few grays and some odd colors… when they are posted, you might want to take a look at them… also I saw your Tie Fighter images from AOL… they are *nice*,…

After reading a few messages in here about the desire to have models, etc… TrueSpace, Imagine, and some othe compaines have an area. I think we whould read this are should attempt to start discussion there and upload images an spline models. I was just sugessting this since Most people…
>Richard…. Hash Inc. will be releasing every model we've ever built on a CD with >texture maps, image maps and motion files later this year… This will go out free or >for a very nominal charge to all registered users who ask for it! > Steve, Hash Inc. Steve Is…

Addiction to FX
Message #1844
Why are people sooo obseesed with FX… I for one didn't purchase animation master because it had spiffy effect, I purchased it because it has a fabulous spline modeller, and now that I've been using it a damn good raytracer… If people were more innovative, FX wouldn't be such a…
Well… First I would say If people read the manuals thorougly, then all of the whys would not exsist. If you want skinning, then it has to be seperated… what's the big deal??? I mean you still have to link hiearchys in most programs which is simular… and doesn't provide…
What do you need CSG for, that you cannot do with splines??? Grady III
Adam, I believe one day all the nay-sayers will become believers… and realize you don't need a SGI for great spline modeling…:) Grady III -Uhh yep!
Well… would it be possible to modify the effects to work on the Spline patch data??? May take a little extra work, but it must be possible… Grady III
You can upload to the Grahpdev or the Comani form… although there aren't any playmation areas… when is there going to be a playmation are on the 'net??? Grady O. Williams III
> As I asked Steve… just how and where do you upload files (forgive >me… I'm more at home on the Internet and annonymous FTP 😉 )? > Thanx, > _Marc Well… If you are using the software that Cserve sent you, you just click on library, and contribute, but…

Breakdancing Ted
Message #1479
I am rendering a animation of the character Ted included with animation master, he is pop-locking… it is rather funny… this is a little test I am doing with trying to use resuable motions… After I finish modeling my character… Grady O. Williams III -PS. Did Anyone check out that…

Toothpaste Animation
Message #1409
I have uploaded my first animation:master animation. Tell me what you think… This is the quickest model i have ever made, benchmark 5mins to creat the scene… I think rendering was 3 hours. This is an impressive package.
>>Jim, I totally agree about the "third party support" bit. We are >>anxiously awaiting the day when we have as much as 3DS… >> Steve, Hash Inc. As long as you keep the modeller… 🙂 Grady O Williams III -3DS isn't that great, just more publicized…
Humm… I was in GraphDev… I guess I gotta look more closer… Grady O Williams III
oh… I thought It was the other way around.. Black transparent, white opaque… I feel so silly now… another thing that bothers me is the sequence when rendering an animation to TGA, it doesn't append 0's to make it compile under DTA in the correct order… any suggestions besides manually…
I'm having the same problem with the cookiecut… unless I'm doing it wrong, even after I save as a tempate and modify it, it still trys to decal as a square. GRady O. Williams III
I saw a hammerhead shark simular to what you are describing, in the GO GRAPHDEV area… search for keywprk shark… Mybe that's it… GOW III
I hope so… Grady O. Williams III
It was merely me… I should be paying more attention… hopefully you'll forgive my little mistake… GRady O. Williams III
I guess so… JKJ, JNJ, man… Next time I should wear my glassess like I am now… sorry for the mix up… Grady O. Williams III
OH… The Post Group… I guess I should have recorded it and played it back in slo-motion… so I could see the credits… Grady O. Williams III
Wow… that's quite a nice setup… what happended to playmation… you decided to move up to 3ds instead… GRady O. Williams III

Oh… yeah.. 3d Digitizers… well, I've heard that most postproduction houses use them… and it is the easiest way to create 3d models… >Personally, I would avoid them due to the unnecessarily high vertex >counts they produce (for most situations). What does that mean??? unnecessarily high vertex…
