HDTV Message #96275
What about creating animations for HDTV. Does anyone have experience in this, just curious??
I'll copy them here: Answer 1: PCI is faster then VLB, VBL is faster then EISA, EISA is faster then ISA This is just a simple way to look at it and alot depends on the type of cards used(ie bus mastering). ISA slots take only ISA 8/16 bit cards…

I'm waiting to, and October is also what I was told (at the earliest they said), at first they told me June/July. Although I'm in no hurry, it would be nice to get a good date? Christophe Van Oyen, (waiting in Belgium….)

#Aspect Ratio Message #95102
I'm putting my first steps in animation with a Targa+ 32 PAL. 1. I wonder if I render an animation to disk if I should use the Targa RDPADI or render through the NULL device? 2. Secondly I have a question about the aspect ratio, I render at 512×576 (32bit)…
Sorry All those reading this have been fooled. 1 April you know, happens to be my birthday (no joke) 🙂 Christophe
Yes of course I'm looking for advice, on Cserve and with a professional Sony dealer who owns a betacamSP studio and is going digital SP, however there are not a lot of people around with experience to put computer animation to tape you know, even they don't know much about…
John, could you care telling me what a transcoder really is, I paln on buying my first animation setup with a second hand Targa+32 PAL, a second hand DQ422 and a new UVW1800 PAL or PVW2800 PAL. I know I cannot connect the Targa RGBsync cable to the R-Y, B-Y…

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a used DQ422, has anyone got one for sale??? Reply by E-mail please. Christophe,
ben, The PAR is a JPEG real time playback board from Digital Processing Systems. You render your TGA's and put them on a dedicated PAR harddrive inenhanced JPEG format. Then you can play them real time, and so eliminating the need of Frame by Frame. Christophe
SIMMS Message #87559
I have 2 16MB 32Bit SIMMs in a VLB/ISA PC. I would like to swap this memory with other PC's: I was told that I can not swap this with an PCI/EISA configuration because EISA needs other kind of SIMMs. However can I swap them with a PCI/ISA setup???
I have two questions concerning PCI Penium machines: 1. Is there a difference in working speed and performance between a mixed PCI/EISA and a mixed PCI/ISA slot. will a PCI fit in both as good as possible, will an EISA card fit in a PCI/ISA slot??? will an ISA card…

I did have a seemingly similar problem, although I have no network. Green an black dots and stripes at the top of the screen when doing a large rendering, it always happened when I put raytracing shadows as the global setting. The project file was about 6MB, I had 100MB…
#RCPADI Message #78841
I use both the Vibrant drivers and the RCPADI, Vibrant with a Build in Mach32 from ATI and RCPADI with a SPEA graphiti Hilite for 1280x1024x256 colors, this RCPADI is the same I used with release 2, dating from July 93. It seems to work quite well with r3. I…

Flemish is Dutch, just a little difference in accent like the difference between an Australian and an American speaking English. I do not use a spelling checker, I just write and speak quite good English, mainly because as a small country we have so many different language TV channels available:…

Here I am again, 1. First some questions about the DPS, Does rendering go straight to that drive in JPEG format, from 3DS R3 or do you have to create TGA's first on your normal hardrive (hope not mine is only 500MB) and use a different program to compile the…

#Video Post Message #61990
Is it possible to create 2 current entries in videopost each using a different camera. As to my knowledge in release 2 it is impossible, you would have to create at least an FLC or sequence of images for one of those entries and then load that one from disk…

Thanks for your interesting reply. What is your idea about Microstation since you worked both on AutoCAD an Microstation, which is the better you think. I've seen many CAD programs but I only worked on 2 so far: AutoCAD and Arkey. Most architects overhere use AutoCAD, some use Architrion, and…
