From: Lu Beranek Amiga User Forum · Word Processing/DTP October 28, 1995 3:48 AM
Without being able to go into detail (unfortunately) I have found that it seems to be a combination of which wordprocessor (yours sounds like WP at the moment) and the setting in it, possibly the Workbench settings and it sounds like you're tried these already. The problem seems to stem…

Ian, I guess for my part I'm reluctant to use things like AutoStart or MUI that may tap into the basic workings of the system. In the past I've gone through various tools etc to optimize or whatever my system and it has usually meant hacking around, tweaking and, in…

I'm thinking of getting an HP540 printer they seem to be good value now, the alternative was a Canon but they're more expensive. Does anybody a) know of suitable printer drivers and b) like to pass on any info on the options? 🙂 regards, Lu on AutoPilot downunder

I remember reading mail in AmigaUser forum that somebody (who is onthe forum) was making '60 boards for an A2000. As I recall you could fit up to 4 '60s on one card and up to 4 cards per machine, sorry I can't recall all the details. Lu, 2500/30 APpy…

Supra don't seem to respond all that often. I've got their 14.4 Fax/modem, haven't had any problems except once when it died but they responded very well under the 5 year guarantee they have. The only thing is, I believe they had some kind of upgrade to the 28.8 policy…

I'm not sure about Access! but most comms programs have VT100 emulations. You need to check your menus and your docs. If not, try something like Terminus, Term, NComm or one of the many shareware terminal programs. These set up your keyboard as a VT100 terminal – you get the…

I've used Dos-2-Dos reliably for some time. You may have CrossDos already and MessDOS is a shareware program that does something similar. D2D just does simple file transfers and directory reads. I can't think of any Amiga wordprocessors that don't export ASCII. WordWorth also exports RTF and other clone formats…
