hello, i too am working on a disk catalog utility. tho mine is considerably less involved than yours. have you been able to traverse a disk 's directory structure? I find that certain disks confuse the IOErr function. would be interested in your perspectives. see my plaintive cry for help…

its the decus release. its in unix form on the tape. the vms version isn't ready yet or so they tell me. i don't know the exact version on the tape, perhaps some decus fiend will reply. or perhaps, i'll think to look it up at work monday. sdp

couldn't one create a set of #defines and the like to use the C preprocessor to do the massagement of the Amiga Assembler files into a form useable by Aztec? Put those #defines into a “generic include file'' and let the C preprocessor rip.
