#31094 String Gadgets HELP! Message #31308
From: Wayne Dyer Amiga Tech Forum · 2.0 Programming January 8, 1993 9:32 PM
As to what is/was happening, I can't actually recall because I seen to have fixed it. (seem, that is) A -lot- of things have happened 'round the house since I last posted, and I ended up trashing the old code and starting from scratch (which was subsequently placed in limbo…
#30410 #PasTeX and Tpp Message #30446
From: Wayne Dyer Amiga Tech Forum · Forum Business/Help November 29, 1992 5:23 PM
What I need to do is take a look at my system, and get back to you. It's easiest if you can generate the fonts you need with ARexx, provided you have it (if you're running WB 2.0, then you have it) rather than D/L all the preview fonts. Lemme…
#30097 PasTeX and Tpp Message #30287
From: Wayne Dyer Amiga Tech Forum · Forum Business/Help November 21, 1992 5:39 PM
I have both, and I've never gotten TPP to work right, at least in the way I expect it to work. For the most part, I've just done all the TeX stuff by hand, as I haven't figured out how to get "Compile" to work from TPP
String Gadgets HELP! Message #30284
From: Wayne Dyer Amiga Tech Forum · 2.0 Programming November 21, 1992 3:23 PM
Hi! I have a problem with string gadgets. I'm using SAS/C 5.10b (6.0 is in the mail still) and need to know basically how to get the StringInfo. I'm using only GADGETUP in the window, and using ((struct StringInfo *)g->SpecialInfo)->Buffer via the GadToolsBox-generated code to get the string based on…
Upgrade help Message #46764
From: Wayne Dyer Amiga Vendor Forum · Forum Business November 10, 1992 11:04 PM
Hello. It seems like a long time ago I sent y'all the upgrade info and my disk for the upgrade to Quarterback 5.0 — I did put this off, and I hope the offer hasn't expired. If it has, and you've received my disk, could you please send it back…
Sonix and Keyboard Message #90608
From: Wayne Dyer The Amiga Forum · Audiophile October 22, 1987 2:05 AM
In the docs to SONIX, (voluminous, aren't they!) they say you can use a Colorboard (I may remember that wrongly) keyboard with the Amiga. Does ANYONE know what the *#$^ that is? -Wayne-
LoadWB quirks Message #18174
From: Wayne Dyer Forum unknown · Community Square May 10, 1986 1:28 PM
I have found that if I use LoadWB from s/startup-sequen df0: really starts gronking away. However, if I delete the LoadWB, and do some sort of disk I/O to df1: (like DIR or LD) then the noise is abated and it takes only about a fifth of the time to…

#17509- #Validation errors Message #17553
From: Wayne Dyer Forum unknown · Help/Announcements May 6, 1986 1:04 AM
I get validation errors on "regular" disks. It seems that if you pull the disk, and then put it back in, the Amiga, while checking the disk, redoes the Validator. I think there is a validation ghost in the machine.

#A Question… Message #17183
From: Wayne Dyer Forum unknown · Hardware May 3, 1986 4:56 PM
I just have a logical question. With all the rumors swirling around the "Ranger" and the "Built-in IBM card" I begin to wonder. It seems logical that the Amiga will be upgraded. One example is Commodore's switch to a 100-pins standard for the bus. When these upgrades occur, where will…

#Easy C Message #15991
From: Wayne Dyer Forum unknown · TBA April 23, 1986 6:43 PM
I was looking through the May BYTE and saw the article in the Easy C method of de-mystifying C. It uses #define to create "aliases" (I don't know if that moniker is truly correct — I didn't see if C would allow the original operator to be used after you…

Musicraft (when?) Message #15190
From: Wayne Dyer Forum unknown · Sound/Music/Speech April 18, 1986 1:22 AM
Has anyone heard anything about Musicraft? Will it have a good library of instruments? What about the KEYBOARD? I really want a KEYBOARD. If the keyboard has been cancelled, is there a way to find out what the program expects in the way of input to the joystick/mouse port? I…

I am quite interested in TDI's Modula-2. However, it seems that they are offering two versions. (???) What's the difference between the versions? Does anyone know how it compares with the speed of Lattice C? (their prices are quite similar…) -Wayne-

#14086- Manx C or a Drive Message #14253
From: Wayne Dyer Forum unknown · Community Square April 9, 1986 12:37 AM
I have seen the personal version of Manx listed at around $169. This is close to the $149 that I have seen (I think I remember) for Amiga C. The Manx ads say that the "personal" version has a less-optimized compiler than the other, more expensive versions. As I have…

#Amiga & IBM DISK Message #11167
From: Wayne Dyer The Amiga Forum · Forum Business March 10, 1986 11:36 PM
Anyone know how feasible ($$ not withstanding) it would be to attempt to interface an IBM PC-XT internal hard disk to the Amiga? I have the opportunity to get one at low cost. Could it be done??

If you, like me are using your trusty 170x monitor with your amiga, I have news! First, the 5-pin jack to luma and Comp. to Chroma trick WORKS LIKE A CHARM!! Second, regardless of the position of the rear switch, BOTH audio jacks are ALWAYS ON. SO get 2 RCA…

I'd probably pay 20-30- dollars extra. However, being a Grad. Student, I'd end up taking the cheaper way out and going CP. I like the idea of non-CP ware for using with a hard disk, but I doubt that I will buy a hard disk for a long time, So,…
