John, go to Email by typing 'GO EMAIL' and there upload the file. afterward it will ask you for my # which is 73617,604 then the process will be finished. CIS will then advise me when the program arrives the next time I log in. If you have problems, just…
Chris, I'll let you know as soon as I get them… if I'm not blown away (grin). Should be around this week or next one at most for both RAMs & ROMs. Rej
Thanks Don. Rej
Could take a few weeks David, (you know, christmas and all 🙂 ) but when something turn out, I'll let you know. Rej
#'C' printf function.
Message #5797
Hi all, I have a question… do I have to create a function that will allow my to print in the following format ' 2,129,398,338,00 ' (commas) or is there a function available in 'C' for doing this??? At first, I thought I could use some 'printf' parameters but didn't…
John, It's funny because AMOS is supposed to work on *Any* Amiga that is not transformed. So, if you're giving your programs, including Amos, or RAMOS (which has to be installed on a floppy using the RAmos_Install programs that comes with Amos) then your programs should work fine. Strange indeed.…
Christopher, BTW, forgot to tell you that I ran my computer for a full 48 hrs with music in the background and a graphic demo… no overheating problems came up and neither GURUs. (just thought I'd tell you.) – Rej –
Christopher, I paid 799$ for the 33mhz model. Not that expensive except maybe for the 882 33mhz which is slightly higher then the 25mhz model. – Rej –
Christopher, I also have a MMR 030/33 mhz (waiting for the memory board though 🙂 ). It works great even without the memory although not as fast as I'd expected. I realized after a while that in order to read 32 bits intructions from 16 bit memory, the computer has…
I think there's only a PAL version that allows semi NTSC compatibility. They told me that they are working on a better support of NTSC as they have good sales here in North America (I'm from Canada). I've tried my programs on a 500 with and without the Obese agnus,…
I agree with you Douglas and I'm *very* happy to learn that AMOS works fine with OS 2.0 *and* a 68030 (I'm about to get one for my A500!). I may download my demo shortly when I'm done redoing some stuff I borrowed from a program on one of the…
Ok, thanks. Rej.
Quite facinating! How will we be able to get technical informations about HAM-E (for programming purposes) ? I'm glad to hear it works fine with all (most) accellerators (Mega Midget Racer in my case). Thanks again for a good explicative reply BBS. – Rej –

HAM-E questions
Message #9335
Yep, it is confusing enough (grin)… But thanks anyway Ben for the infos. I got most of it. – Rej –
Ben, at least people are starting programming with HAM-E in mind (already!?).. You know, in some ways, I'm sure that it's going to save lots of work from converting some VGA games on the PC platform to HAM-E. Now the Amiga is up to standards with the rest of the…
Thanks Ben. That answers my question. Have another one though (grin)… Will it be possible to use games (without the games knowing about it) with HAM-E?? What I have in mind is a software that would intercept the… ViewPort of whatever needs to be intercepted and then convert the image…
Yeah, saw it after in another message. Thanks Betty for the info. Rej
Great!! Thanks for the reply. Rej
That a marvelous idea Douglas, I'd wonder what they'd say if someone suggested it to them? Glad to have found a new AMOS user (at last…someone who understand it's power!! (grin) I'm still amazed by it!).. If you feel like exchanging programs or ideas, let me know… (you should see…
I've had success with a program called 'Recover-II'. The program comes with no documentations but is fairly easy to learn. As for where to get it.. (that's a good question (grin)). Is should be in here though. – Rej –
Will we be able to transfer 24 bit images from Sculpt-4D or Imagine to work with HAM-E?? And does the running program need to know that I have HAM-E or can a driver do the work for it?? (anxious you get my hand on HAM-E! :-)) – Rej –
Douglas, I've tried (and still use) AMOS for about 3 months now. It *really* is a powerfull programming environment! I've done 'bobs', 'sprites' and (not least) hardware screen scrollings so easily that I've quit 'C' entirely for graphics and related programming. Now I use 'C' only for utilities and system…
Oui Marcel. C'est ecrit sur le chip lui meme! un MC68000p12F. Le gars chez Active a lui aussi eu quelques problemes avec le numero du chip mais c'est bien un 16 mhz. Rej
I'm surprised that 68010 at 16mhz are not available. I'll look at where I got my 68000 16mhz. Who knows?. Rej
Christopher, BTW, thanks again. I've just uploaded you new speck sheet. And i've tried the new circuit… what I now have is a green screen instead of the blank one. And if I reboot, (with the keyboard) the green screen returns but now the computer tries to reboot about 5…
Prix = $31.95 + Taxe. Je suis de Longueuil (Rive…
I guess it's about the same has having the 68010 at 7MHz. What I mean is that I heard that some people had problems (compatibility of one or two commands in the MP) with it so you'd probably have the same…. I wonder though if you'd get a better speed…
Thank you very much Christopher, I do appreciate it! The circuit is still lying inside my Amiga and I was starting to wonder what I would do with it. Hope this will fix the problem. Rej
Adventure!!
Message #942

Accel Project
Message #1898
BTW Marcel, are you from the 'belle province'?? 🙂 I'd also like to know if you've tried the accellerator project. Rej
Rejean
Thanks Steve, will do. Rej
Great, Thanks Don, will do. Rej
#re-uploading a program.
Message #655
Hi, I was wondering if I could re-upload part of my recent upload (Conver.LZH)? Having noticed that the docs were filled with TABS and that while I wrote them (using CEDPro at TAB=2) I can only imagine the mess that could do when not using CED. I could re-upload the…
#ReUpload?
Message #393
Hi Sysop, I've recently uploaded a program called conv.lzh. I've just noticed how messy my docs were and have decided to change them a little (forgot that I was using CEDPro in TAB setting = 2 ! ) I was wondering if I could re-upload my program including the docs…
Europeen Demos and PAL
Message #292
Hi all, For those who downloaded the SCIENC.LZH europeen Demo, I suggest that, if you own a 1mg Fat Agnus, to get the program FASTPAL which can be found in Amigatech. This will switch mode to PAL and the demo will run much faster and smoother! Also there's another Scroll…
Europeen Demos & PAL
Message #653
Hi all, For those of you who own or have downloaded the demo SCIENC.LZH, I suggest, if you have a 1mg Fat Agnus to get a small program called FASTPAL, which will allow to switch your Amiga to PAL mode which this above demo was made for. It's much faster,…
Don, when I hear octal, somehow my head start spinning ;-
Ansi 'C'
Message #118682
It worked great. Also the fact of having the ansi codes available from the amiga user book is very helpful. Thanks again David. Rej
Thanks David, it's good to have an example (easier to assimilate). I'll test it right away. Rej
Micheal, will try 'all' of these possibities! It's great to know that there's more than one way to do it. Thank you for the information. REj
Ooops, forgot the m after the \x9B0. It's supposed to be \x9B0m. Rej
#Ansi Codes from 'C'
Message #118594
I would like to know how to exit ANSI text on a con: or cli window… I've been trying 'printf("\0x9B0;33mTEST text…\0x9B0"); and it's working but the compiler always gives me an error saying that the Hexademical constant is t large for character.. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong??…
Forgot again<grin>
Message #26664
Bennett, I forgot to wish you a happy new year. Rejean
Right. Just hope it fixes the problems I've been having. Thanks again. Rejean
Thanks a lot Ron for a fast answer. I needed the program for the weekend. Rejean
Ho ho. Guess I'll have to wait 'till I win the lottery! I'll just be content with a vi like editor. Thanks for the info. Rejean
#VT Emulation
Message #63123
Hi all, After such success of my first message, I can't help but have another question Is there a VT100 or VT52 or VT220 emulation in the program ACCESS! (Latest). If not, what telecommunication program would have these emulations. Thanks, Rejean.
Thanks Steve, I knew about your brother STEVIE, but not about UEDIT. Thats another one to look into. I think any of these will help me practice at home to learn VI. Rejean.
Thanks Betty, STEVIE seems to be winning the war. I'll still check for STEVIE and Minix and see what comes up. By the way, I'd like to thank all of you who took the time to answer my question. I wasn't expecting so many answers in just one day. Rejean.
