From: George Glines Amiga Arts Forum · General Help October 9, 1989 12:24 AM
Naw, I've left many messages on their bulletin board, and they just delete them. I'm hoping that V1.7 will fix the bug.

#Command filter Message #28306
From: George Glines AmigaTech · Telecommunications January 1, 1989 5:39 PM
I'm using Access! V1.42 for my comm program. Does anybody know a way to filter the color commands I receive from various BBS's. I always answer "NO" to ANSI graphics, but some BBS's still send color text commands, which I'd like to screen out. Thanks, George

#6806- Midi Studio Tape Sync Message #6845

BTW, many drum machines will also lay a sync track down. The specialized boxes have more features tho. Good luck, George
Print Resolution Message #4591
From: George Glines AmigaArts Forum · Applications September 26, 1988 1:30 PM
Can someone explain Screen resolution VS Print Resolution. I'm trying to set up "ComicSetter" to produce the best hardcopy and I'm lost. Using the new 1.3 preferences, I can select my print resolution (I have an Epson LQ800 24 pin) up to 360×180 dpi but since the screen size is…

From: George Glines AmigaArts Forum · Audio/MIDI August 25, 1988 2:19 AM
You said it Rick!!! I HATE the copy protection of Dr. T's. Sometimes Dr. T bombs on the legitimate original disk, which of course, bombs the whole system. I've also had my original disk go bad, and since the backup I ordered hadn't arrived yet, I got to program my…
KCS upgrade Message #1828
From: George Glines AmigaArts Forum · Audio/MIDI August 17, 1988 12:50 AM
Dr. T's has added support for the infernal sound channels of the Amiga in it's KCS sequencer. KCS 1.6A allows for 16 IFF sounds to be loaded at one time. So far, it's working great. George Glines
#736 Hi There! Read Me! Message #745
From: George Glines AmigaTech Forum · Whap! July 17, 1988 3:17 AM
That's the settings I have, except I haven't seen a brief = yes. What I've seen is menu or command and I am in command mode. George
#604 #Hi There! Read Me! Message #668
From: George Glines AmigaTech Forum · Whap! July 16, 1988 9:25 PM
I've gotten Whap to go online now. It will get me into a forum, start to read the message headers (maybe 10 or so) and then just hang…I've tried waiting up to 6 minutes. The hangup and abort gadgets don't work here. Nothing I type will go to the modem.…
#502 #Hi There! Read Me! Message #563
From: George Glines AmigaTech Forum · Whap! July 16, 1988 12:56 PM
So, if I want to call at different baud rates, I have to run preferences first (using Access!)?
#495 #Hi There! Read Me! Message #562
From: George Glines AmigaTech Forum · Whap! July 16, 1988 12:55 PM
Steve, but if you name the disk Whap, you can't assign Whap to a subdirectory, right? Anyway, I renamed the disk and assigned to a sub-directory and the program loads now. Thanks! George

From: George Glines AmigaTech Forum · Whap! July 15, 1988 10:36 PM
Well, I sort of got Whap! to run, at least it dialed CIS, but once Access!30a loaded, I couldn't communicate with CIS. Any characters I enter just appear as xxxxxx on the Access! screen? George

#AudioMaster Woes Message #131312
From: George Glines Forum unknown · Audiophile June 23, 1988 12:36 AM
I just bought the Perfect Sound Sampler for use with AudioMaster, but I can't get the waveform centered at zero. My waveforms are centered below the zero crossing point which makes setting good loops a pain. In other words, I am experiencing the same problem that AudioMaster has with the…

#114443 Y Ching Message #114476
From: George Glines The Amiga Forum · Audiophile March 19, 1988 12:35 AM
Rick, Thanks for the info! I compared the sounds of several drum machines and I thought the HR16 sounded fantastic- especially considering the price. It's very easy to program, and seems more than flexible enough for my needs. The manual is pretty good but doesn't go into any detail on…

Rick, Is it okay to take the stereo outs of my drum machine (or anything else- reverbs, synths, etc.) and using a "Y" cable plug into an amp? I have Yo'mamaha's KS10 keyboard amp/speakers. I remember reading something about not summing inputs or outputs or shotputs???, because the signals would…

I've just purchased MaxiPlan Plus and am guruing constantly. I have an Amiga 1000 and the program comes set up on a 500/2000 workbench disk. Is the 1000 incompatible with the 500/2000 workbench? I'm also running FaccII by ASDG and Screenblanker2 by MicroSmiths, inc. Any suggestions as to the most…

From: George Glines The Amiga Forum · Audiophile February 19, 1988 1:43 AM
Rick, Thanks for the reply! I wonder if using and synching the internal voices will be possible if the program doesn't have that built it. New Wave wasn't able to get Dynamic Drums to synch with any other program (they have a sequencer with DD built in now). Interesting about…

From: George Glines The Amiga Forum · Audiophile December 7, 1987 12:30 AM
Rick, Thanks for the reply. I am bouncing some tracks on my 4-track so a noise gate might be a good purchase. Alesis has a new micro-rack model out for $125 list (stereo input); one or two of those would be all I'd need. What are downward expanders & adaptive…
#Noise Gates Message #96856
From: George Glines The Amiga Forum · Audiophile December 5, 1987 7:54 PM
Rick, Do most synths (Amiga?) output any noise even when not playing notes? I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile to have a noise gate between the Amiga and a mixer; or between my FB01 and mixer. When I have the Amiga hooked up to my powered speakers, I seem…
#96534 Radio Interference Message #96588
From: George Glines The Amiga Forum · Audiophile December 4, 1987 9:56 AM

#Radio Interference Message #96445
From: George Glines The Amiga Forum · Audiophile December 3, 1987 5:54 PM
Rick, I guess I'm safe Rick. I recorded with the gains all the way up and couldn't hear any radio. That's a relief- thanks. I tried a couple of pairs of headphones and found my cheap ones pick up the radio the best. Thanks, George

I just discovered that I can hear (faintly) a local radio station by plugging the headphones in my multi-track (power on). This also works downstairs with my stereo system. Can I assume I'm recording radio signal when making tapes with the multi-track? I live about 3 miles from the station…

Rick, went into a ultra-tiny electronics store on a lark, and wouldn't you know…they had the battery! Only 3 bucks too. Life can be fair. I tried the cable out and it works too! The mic has a low-imp output. Specs say 150-ohm balanced output with an output level of…

Rick, I'm looking for a decent (read $150.00) microphone for the following uses- vocals, recording acoustic guitar and banjo, and taking samples with the Amiga. I realize you're supposed to have a different microphone for every use, but I can't afford that now. This is for a low-ball home studio.…

#Amiga timing cont. Message #70270
From: George Glines Forum unknown · Audiophile June 2, 1987 1:00 AM
Rick, regarding the Amiga's timing resolution…I have a product brochure for "Music-X" by MicroIllusions which lists a 5 millisecond clock resolution and 192 pulses per 1/4 note, which is about even with what Gotcher says the ST is capable of doing. Gosh, now if only midi interfaces for the Amiga…
