Marion, I'd buy a C= PC in a minute (if I'd buy a PC ). Always liked them, especially the keyboards. I don't think you got many C= PCs stateside but they were big here. My mother still uses a C= turbo XT. Many satisfied customers. Malcolm

Jim, C= Canada licensed to 3D Micro a while back. 3D says that even if C= disappeared completely they could keep on making C= PCs. I sat beside a C= filing cabinet today. 🙂 Malcolm
Michael, Clearly there's a large difference between publishing good authors and serving customers. FWIW, I did the manual addendum for pp3 and had to finally go there and say, "I know it's out now. Can I have a copy please?" So I understand your point. Malcolm

John, I saw an article ages ago in which MS, in conjunction with a variety of other software producers, had declared BASIC to be the scripting language for Windows. Haven't seen any follow-up to it though. Malcolm
Yup, copy protection is still a real bear. The solution for those who want to use emulators or install on HDs for their 64/128 is to break the protection with programs such as Maverick or Elite (for the Pocket series). Unfortunately, that generally requires a real 64 and 1541.
