#JX100
Message #61715
I have a Sharp JX-100 scanner that I'd like to run on my PC. I understand you might sell a software package for it?
Mark, This is a joke right? I called and I received several 800 Hz tones on and off for about 30 seconds followed by a hang up. Tried the number a second time and same experience. Cheers, Paul MacDonald (WA1OMM)
Hi, I am still waiting for a resolution to the receipt of 16 or so clipart disks with no way of identifying the pictures. Shall I simply return them for a refund or will you folks be sending a catalog out to purchasers? Cheers, Paul MacDonald (WA1OMM)
I have 14 disks here containing your clipart and no way to view them. Why couldn't you have provided a reference sheet (such as what Magnetic Images and other companies provide). Also, some of the .eps files are viewable on the screen while others are only viewable by printing them…
Bullets in Compton's
Message #37904
Yet another problem with Compton's Multimedia Encyclopedia. The Wedster's Dictionary is placing accented letters u's in most all the words. Perhaps they were intended to be separator characters such as bullets. Anyone have a solution?
Compton's Sound Prob
Message #37846
For some reason Compton's will not play sounds from the sounds index. It does play sounds from the included videos though. An error message appears saying my sound driver is not properly configured. Any clues?
I'll check. Thanks Don. Cheers, Paul MacDonald (WA1OMM)
A500 Drives and V2.x
Message #82829
My brother has been experiencing numerous write errors on both his external and internal A500 drives ever since he installed the V2 kickstart ROM and upgraded his operating system. Commodore has been totally unresponsive to his inquiries about this problem. One rep suggested he purchase V2.1 (which he did) to…
Rated High: Buckmaster Radio Amateur Callbook (includes over 1,500 applications too) Street Atlas USA Audubon's Birds & Mammals (2 CD set) Rated Low: Book of Lists #3 (the lists are 11 years old) The most megabytes for the buck definitely does to Buckmaster!

#Product Failures
Message #45185
I have problems with two of your programs running on V2.04 Workbench. Problem 1 – Quarterback Tools V1.5 This program will not run at all. It crashes my Amiga 2000 immediately. Problem 2 – Quarterback V5.02 If this is the first program I select to run, it crashes my system…
Dunno if this helps, but the current version is V4.0 designed for use with Workbench V2 or higher. Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
Instant Track automatically does the sun and moon. No need for keps. Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
I doubt I could have any kind of reasonable succes with SSTV on AO-13. The sigs are rarely strong enough for even SSB work. The program is GRID and it is on the Software/Pictures DL of the HAMNET SIG. Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
Oh, you mean the one I wrote? I'll upload it. Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
Thanks Don. Yes to Block 880 – Yes to V2.04 – No to the Air drives, but I suppose it may just be his old internal and external A500 drives. Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
#Write Errors
Message #64001
My brother is experiencing write errors on both his floppy drives whenever copying files. He is running an A500 with Fat Agnus expanded memory (Baseboard). Any ideas why this is happening? Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
Guess I should have phrased my question better! What has been revised in the Jul 15 upgrade? I am having a terrible time with my modem! I am disconnected frequently, and once a carrier is detected and the modem attempts to make a valid connection, a "3" appears in the…
What is involved in the Jul 15 upgrades? Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
That wouldl be in the software you are using for terminal emulation. Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
Make sure you are not stripping eight bit. Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
No … turned out to be the 8520 directly behind the parallel port. I had a feeling I may have shorted a couple lines. I replaced it this evening and everything is OK. Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
Error in writing – Error 1 That is the error that is on my screen, Other app that seem to work are A64Package (connected to a C64 drive), and Perfect Sound. Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
#Printer Probs
Message #60257
My Amiga suddenly won't communicate with my printer, although other periphs seem to be working off the parallel port, and my "other" computer seems to drive the printer okay. Any thoughts? Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
JX-100 on DSB
Message #40281
Hi, I picked up a JX-100 with ScanLab software. I have an Amiga 2000 with an ASDG Dual Serial Board installed. I'd like to run the JX-100 off one of the DSB ports. I understand I have to zap the two occurrences of serial.device in the ScanLab software to siosbx.device…

Come on Ben … you don't know which piece of software has a menu entitle Auxillary Settings and happens to be V4.03? AVT_Master Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
Auxilliary
Message #38432
Ben, In V4.03 (and previous versions) you have the word "auxiliary" spelled incorrectly as "auxilliary." This is on the Auxiliary Settings menu. Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
#AVT
Message #37941
Ben, Among the other things that the latest version of AVT Master does is interrupt the function of the internal clock under WB V2.04. I notice that my clock doesn't resume until after I exit AVT, and then the time that is displayed is the time that I actually started…
#AVT PARMS=wfax
Message #36491
Even though I have PARMS=wfax defined in the AVT icon, the system insists on coming up in SSTV mode. This seems to have broken somewhere between 3.08 and 4.
Ben .. in V4.03 the control panel sits atop the Workbench screen. I only get the black background screen after hitting 120 lpi.
I only saw Times, Triumvirate, and Garamond in my 2.1 disk and no CG fonts in my 2.2 upgrade. Where are these 10 CG fonts hiding? Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
But neither will do indexing …. Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
#AVT
Message #35617
Ben, Any idea when the newest AVT will hit the BBS? Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
Oops .. did I mispell misspell? 🙂 Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
I have 4.3. I thought there was a newer version that relied on some additional compression of the files. Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)

QB V4.3 Problem
Message #34310
I have Quarterback V4.3. I backed up my disk but the archive bits did not set (even though I had that selected as an option). Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)

#Disappearing AVT Screen
Message #34027
Ben, When I start AVT_Master, the gadgets come up at the bottom of the screen okay, but the Workbench screen remains. This is different then in 4.01 when the "black" imaging screen would appear. Now I find I have to click on 60 or 120 to get the imaging screen…
Yes, it does extend all the way from the fron to the back. Cheers, Paul (WA1OMM)
