JG – Lets say that you *DO* use 'd2' quality on a 1 GIG drive. The Drive's maximum transfer rate is probably around 2 megabytes per second for sustained transfers. D2 bandwidth is probably around 13 megabytes per second. So where does the difference come in!? If Newtek are using…

Do you have a demo anywhere I can play with? — Jez/.
#New FLIC Compressor Message #65349
What kind of compression rate do you envisage for typical flic files where a ot changes from frame to frame (eg: camera zooms and pans)? — Jez.
#61154 Full Screen Video Message #61256
Sure, you can call me at work on 011-44-81-200-5777, or at home on 011-44-81-343-3889. I'm in London.

PK – Where are you based? Are you in England? Which city? — Jez (081 200 5777 at Argonaut).
John – How're ya doin, you ole dawg! — Jez.
Henry – I dont mean the ENTIRE Amiga community…. but it sure doesnt bode well of the amount of Amiga piracy that goes on, especially considering how small the Amiga market is… compared to the next higher up machines, Mac and IBM PC. — Jez.

Remember Stellar-7 on the C64…? Programmed by Damon Slye from Arctic-Fox fame,m except in my opinion Stellar-7 was far superior to Arctic…!

Arctic Fox is really dull and slow… its more an adventure game than a shootemup due to its lousy programming… ( 1 frame per second, ouch!!!) If you liked Arctic Fox (programmed by Statix 🙂 ) tyhen you'll like StarGlider-2…. 10 times better… but tyhen Im biassed… grin!

I recommend an Amiga 2000 hardware, together with HiSoft's DEVPAK assembler. It is the fastest, most friendly, and usable assembler so far, and they have it both for the Atari ST and Amiga. I have used both versions, during development of StarGlider (arcade game). To write position independant code requires…

The A2000 has an 86 pin bus on the inside, so with a ribbon cable, you could bring this to the outside so that a StarBoard could feasibly plug in.. however, since the 2000 has Zorro slots built in, it would be a better bet plugging in Zorro Ram, such…
