Thanks Bill, You are right that QED may not display all control characters. I checked the print file I created with a hex editor and I can't find any characters that QED did not display. I would have thought it was the control characters for sure if this same problem…
QED displays the control characters, so I removed them, and it didn't work. I even tried printing the file to disk and even after editing this version I couldn't get it load properly.
