Thanks. Turns out I have the sampled theme song. I plan to upload it next chance I get.
ChromaKey Message #6539
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts Forum · Videophile March 9, 1991 11:23 AM
Page 61 of this month's Amiga World has an advertisement for ChromaKey, a device that puts video OVER amiga graphics. IT's advertised at $395. Does any one know the quality of this gadget? How well does it work? Is it shipping? If it does what it claims to do, I'm…

Thanks, Ray. I'll try that.
#26569- Modem Message #26570
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts Forum · General Help December 28, 1989 8:05 PM
Yeah, well, the idea was to put a Practical Peripherals Modem in the Amiga and have the Bridgeboard access that modem. I have some Banking Software that only runs on an IBM, and I therefore need a modem.
Modem Message #26521
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts Forum · General Help December 27, 1989 7:51 PM
I have a 2000 with a 2088 BridgeBoard, and now I need a modem for the IBM side of my machine. Is there a way of using my Amiga Modem on the IBM side? If not, will a Practical Peripherals Internal Modem work in the Amiga?
#24602 SA3D connundrum Message #24604
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts Forum · DeskTop Video November 16, 1989 7:25 AM
Read my last message, in which John and I discuss moving lamps. I think we've hit on the proper solution…
#24552 SA3D connundrum Message #24603
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts Forum · DeskTop Video November 16, 1989 7:24 AM
They say that great minds think alike: we've proved that it's true. Last night I came up with that very idea. I have the light moving in a figure 8, tilted about 30 degre off horizontal. It is chugging away as we speak. I'll let you know how it comes…

SA3D connundrum Message #24416
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts Forum · DeskTop Video November 12, 1989 8:42 PM
Awright, here goes. I want to use SA3D and Interfont to create an animation of a spotlight moving back and forth over a movie marquee. I've gotten everything working except the spotlight. How can I get the spotlight beam to move without moving the "target"??? Everytime I move the target,…
#Amiga Astros Message #23951
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts Forum · Hot News and Rumors November 3, 1989 7:37 AM
Does anyone know who the leftmost astronaut in the Amiga commercials is? Buzz Aldrin speaks, Scott Carpenter is next to him, but who is next to Carpenter? I've only seen the commercial once and wasn't paying too much attention at first…
#58609 Dead AMIGA Message #58778
Greg- Thanks a lot. I really HATE the idea of going to a service center without knowing what is wrong. I don't like being at the mercy of anyone. I'll try what you suggested but it's looking more and more as if I'll have to have it replaced. If worst…
Dead 2000 Message #19922
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts Forum · General Help July 24, 1989 9:54 AM
HELP! Saturday night, while downloading something from a local BBS, my 2000 died. I was out of the room when it happened; when I returned, the screen was black. When I shut the computer off and turned it back on, it wouldn't boot up. The fan started, the hard drive…

From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts Forum · General Help June 16, 1989 9:25 PM
Really? They cashed MY check about 3 days after I sent it!!! I thought such efficiency was commendable, but then again, I thought such efficiency would apply to their shipping department, too!
#17761 Star Wars scroll Message #17773
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts Forum · Videophile June 6, 1989 12:49 PM
I tried to do exactly the same thing for my cousin's wedding video. I tried it using SA3D, InterFont and a 3MB Amiga 2000. I rendered the wireframe model perfectly but found that it required nearly 500 frames to scroll at a comfortable reading speed. Then I tried to render…

#17094 Digi-Paint 3 Message #17146
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts Forum · DeskTop Video May 22, 1989 10:56 AM
Steve, Really! I actually was amazed that there was no warning message of any kind in front of it. When I saw it, people stood there with mouths open and eyes twitching, but no one verbally complained. However, that doesn't mean that the next time it's shown, it won't cause…
#13895 Ami Expo NYC Message #14064
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts Forum · Videophile March 23, 1989 7:24 AM
I have already had that problem. I tried to make a billboard with floating letters using Interfont and SA3D, and very quickly ran out of memory. I think I can only render the thing in TINY mode; not even worth it. Imagine if I had tried to add a terrain…
#SA3D Letters Message #11859
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts Forum · Videophile February 14, 1989 12:17 PM
I'd like to create an SA3D animation of letters flying around and arranging themselves into words. Does anyone know of any library of "letter" objects for SA3D. It doesn't matter what font they are, as long as they are readable.
#7781- Images to IFF ANIM Message #7827
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts · Videophile December 13, 1988 8:14 PM
Thanks. I'm home with a stomach virus and I've done some fun things with my Amiga. I've used the RECORD function of Perfect Vision to rapidly grab 20 frames off of a videotape (in this case, the movie "It's a Wonderful Life"). I've then renamed those images to work with…

From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts · DeskTop Video December 6, 1988 10:12 PM
Actually, this takes us off on a new tangent. Are you saying that Interactive Microsystems has a device that allows you to program your Amiga to emit infrared remote control signals?? What a concept! I can have my Amiga control the VCR, TV, etc via infrared!
#6718- AMIGA AT COMDEX Message #6792
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts · Hot News and Rumors November 25, 1988 11:47 AM
Yes, as far as I'm concerned, the "hacker" approach to anything always produces far more ingenious results. One or two people, sitting up late at night for months, usually produce far more innovative demos than professional designers, who get paid for this stuff, do. I have used SA3D all this…
#6625- #AMIGA AT COMDEX Message #6672
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts · Hot News and Rumors November 21, 1988 6:37 PM
Judging by the expressions on the faces of the people watching the monitors, that gymnast demo sold more Amigas than any number of commercials. It was well worth the month Mr. Landis spent on it.

From: Patrick Di Justo AmigaTech · Talk to the Trade October 22, 1988 9:02 PM
Steve, I know your experience. In many ways I've found J&R to be the terrorists of the computer world. The salesmen are both pushy and sarcastic and have absolutely no qualms about selling naive customers things they don't need at all. They lost matronage many months ago when I saw…
From: Patrick Di Justo AmigaTech · Drives/Controllers October 22, 1988 8:54 PM
Hi. I need some advice. I have a 2000 with a 2088 and a Mountain 20MB hard drive installed on the IBM side. I have it partitioned as 10MB for the IBM, 10MB for the Amiga, but I now find that I need more storage space. Would it be technically…
#5686- Digitized Sound Message #5720
From: Patrick Di Justo Amiga Arts · Forum Business/Help October 22, 1988 8:45 PM
Pat, You can also check DL5 for the keyword SAMPLE or, even better, SAM*. Last I looked, there were many files from The Princess Bride, One from Platoon, The opening words from 2010 (which is now in my startup-sequence!), and Robin Williams yelling "Goooooooooooood Morning, Vietnam!" And allegedly there is…
#4020 Using 3D Sculpt Message #4042
From: Patrick Di Justo AmigaArts Forum · Videophile September 17, 1988 4:31 PM
Mirrored surfaces have to be rendered in PHOTO mode. Change your observer mode to PHOTO, start rendering, pop a movie in the VCR, make some popcorn, and enjoy yourself while your mirrored image is created. A full-length movie should cover the waiting period beautifully.

#1361- #Video/Greeting Message #1494
From: Patrick Di Justo AmigaArts Forum · Videophile August 11, 1988 9:33 AM
George, Sculpt 3D is wonderful. The only thing is you have to go on vacation for two weeks while it creates an animation for you. Sad but true. The Director is a godsend. I have managed to turn a haphazard collection of images into a coherent presentation time and again.…
#1145- #Video Digitizers Message #1175
From: Patrick Di Justo AmigaArts Forum · Videophile August 6, 1988 2:42 PM
$799 is the last I heard. If (ah, how that word abounds when talking about VideoToaster!) the $1500 tag is correct, then to hell with it… I'll stick with what I have.
#916- Video Digitizers Message #969
From: Patrick Di Justo AmigaArts Forum · Videophile August 3, 1988 7:54 PM
Don't rush (as I did!). NewTek has sworn that Video Toaster will be out in 6 weeks. If you believe them, and if yo can wait that long, and if you have $799, it might be worth looking into. But then, if you did that, you never would have bought…
#910- DMCS vs. Sonix Message #968
From: Patrick Di Justo AmigaArts Forum · Talk to the Trade August 3, 1988 7:52 PM
Leslie, In reverse order: There is a Shareware util called PLAY by Mark Reilly that will play Sonix scores. I personally don't know of any player for DMCS, but one must exist somewhere. To a certain extent, DMCS and Sonix scores are compatible. I say "to a certain extent" because,…

From: Patrick Di Justo AmigaArts Forum · Videophile July 30, 1988 6:22 AM
George, In my opinion, Sculpt-Animate 3D and The Director are two of the best packages for the Amiga in existance. SA3D is a wonder, though admittedly painfully slow. But the images it produces are outstanding, and, if you take the time to read the manual, amasingly easy to use. As…
#121757- #BridgeCard Message #122297
From: Patrick Di Justo The Amiga Forum · Hardware May 4, 1988 5:50 PM
Sorry about that, John. As for Bridgeboard sound, it's really not that important. It was just a little eerie to make a mistake in MultiMate and NOT have the thing beep at me. Like so many things in life, we wish it would go away, and then miss it when…
#120293 File Transfers Message #120640
From: Patrick Di Justo The Amiga Forum · Telecommunications April 23, 1988 2:37 PM
Don, That's just what the doctor ordered. I downloaded Unarc, Movie, and the Kahnakas movie, and it all worked fine. I'm having a ball! I'm really spending most of my time just getting familiar with my Amiga, and any help I get is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Patrick
#File Transfers Message #120160
From: Patrick Di Justo The Amiga Forum · Telecommunications April 20, 1988 7:29 AM
I FINALLY got my Amiga 2000. I have added a 2088 Bridgeboard and a Mountain 20 MB Hard Drive (10 megs allocated to the IBM side and 10 for the AMiga). My question is this. Can I download an Amiga file on an IBM, then transfer (using AWRITE and AREAD)…
From: Patrick Di Justo The Amiga Forum · Talk to the Trade December 2, 1987 1:25 PM
I want to buy a refurbished Amiga 1000 for my boyfriend and I want to know is it safe? I mean, are the computers rebuilt well? Is Commodore still going to support them? Or will I wind up with the Amiga equivalent of an Osborne? Any information anyone can give…
#89106 V-TAPING ANIMATION Message #89146
From: Patrick Di Justo The Amiga Forum · Videophile October 14, 1987 9:53 PM
Yikes! $10K?! Sheesh! I guess I'll just stick with my amateurish single frame works of art. Until something better (read "cheaper") comes along. Although, I bet one could probably do quite a lot in 15 seconds… Patrick

I can get my hands on an Intertec Compustar II 10 meg external drive. Can I connect this with an Amiga 500 or 1000 (or even 2000)? Thanks. Patrick
