#56691 Neural Network! Message #56868
Is MegageM set up for credit card users yet? In the past it was a check (or maybe COD) only business. That NP2.0 sounds very impressive indeed!
#54039 Cando Update Bug? Message #54302
I am happy to hear all is well. I am sure you will like 1.6!
From: Douglas Fleischman Amiga Vendor Forum · Impulse April 4, 1992 11:19 AM
I am not with Impulse, but I do have a FC, and it can do as many colors as there are pixels on screen. The Resolver and CBM's own 34010 card can only do 256 colors at a time. It would be great to see Impulse build a new FC…
#53250 Cando Update Bug? Message #53708
I just recently installed my CanDo 1.6 upgrade without a problem. When installing such a package I allways use a set of backup disks and not the originals, then if I have a problem I call the company before I attempt to continue. I hope you get your 1.6 upgrade…

Well, that was what I wanted to hear and it does sound great! All these triangles are getting to be a bit much! 🙂 You have convinced me that I do want to get PDraw. Also, have you heard about the 1.4.1 version of Real-3D? (other message in this area)…
#17102 Real-3D Message #17349
From: Douglas Fleischman Amiga Arts Forum · Audio/MIDI March 14, 1992 10:50 AM
The Real-3D BBS in Canada just hasn't seemed that active with new objects and scenes to me. Same stuff each time I log on. I am going to try to get my 1.4.1 update as well. As far as the features go, I will just keep plugging away. So far…
#16949 Real-3D Message #17082
From: Douglas Fleischman Amiga Arts Forum · Audio/MIDI March 7, 1992 10:27 AM
Would you give more details about using Pro Draw and Pro Draw clips with Real-3D ? I am interested in possibly getting Pro Draw if it will help me produce better 'Real' type objects finally.
#16907 Real-3D Message #17081
From: Douglas Fleischman Amiga Arts Forum · Audio/MIDI March 7, 1992 10:17 AM
I think I have the 1.4.1 version, but I will check. I am glad that someone answered your question on using parallel texture mapping. I still have a lot to learn about this program too. It almost has too many features…. 🙂
#16951 Real-3D Message #17080
From: Douglas Fleischman Amiga Arts Forum · Audio/MIDI March 7, 1992 10:11 AM
I have allways wanted to be able to run Lightwave but without a Toaster (and the fact I have a A3000), Real-3D has been as close as I can come. I am very happy that there is such a fine package that doesn't require a lot more hardware than the…
#16821 Real-3D Message #16832
From: Douglas Fleischman Amiga Arts Forum · Audio/MIDI March 1, 1992 1:58 PM
That is one thing I look forward to seeing, more programs (like Pixel-3D) adopting the Real-3D object format, there are so many nice objects out there that need translating! Importing objects in Sculpt format works, it just doesn't produce 'real' Real-3D objects!
#16787 Real-3D Message #16830

That was the important addition to version 1.4, lots of nice point editing features. There is a demo of the 1.4 version out, I just don't have it. After all… I have the 'Real' thing! 🙂
Real-3D Message #16770
From: Douglas Fleischman Amiga Arts Forum · Audio/MIDI February 29, 1992 12:41 PM
Has anyone else out there been using Real-3D (version 1.4)? I feel this is a very strong ray-tracer and it just had a nice review in 'Amazing'. I have Imagine 2.0 as well, but I find myself using Real-3D a lot and I can't wait to see what new stuff…
From: Douglas Fleischman Amiga Arts Forum · Hot News and Rumors February 1, 1992 10:38 AM
I had a older version of VRS called '3D Construction Kit' that came from Domark. I had several problems with it like not being able to install it on a harddrive (and if I remember it was PAL mode too, I haven't touched it in a bit). Other than that…

It would be interesting to get more details as to how you wrote your exploder (what language) and what it did compared to what the Imagine version does.

Might I ask when you ordered yours? I ordered my upgrade on the 16th and still haven't seen hide nor hare of it yet. Sounds like a good package, guess I will have to give Impulse a call…..

Like many others, I am also looking forward to the new Imagine 2.0. I have heard that it will have a good manual and nice new features. There are so many good 3D packages for the Amiga, it is like haveing a lot of nice tools to work with!

Thanks for the info. There are a lot of really nice features in Real-3D, the big thing is just learning how to use them. Someone needs to write a example book for the package.

I have the latest Draw-4D Pro, and it does look real nice, the only problem is that it won't do a full ray-trace with shadows and such. The future version (March 92?) may just do all this and more! 🙂 There are a ton of neat 3D programs out there…
#13336 Real 3D Message #13391
From: Douglas Fleischman Amiga Arts Forum · Audio/MIDI November 23, 1991 9:50 AM
I didn't mention that I don't know how to 'lock' the colors in Real-3D, I think the objects are supposed to be the color they are set to in the 3 displays to help the user know which is which. I have no idea how to get around that….

I have just started to use Real-3D, and there is a lot I can learn about making new materials, I still can't seem to produce the slivery metal used for the guitar picture! Water would be nice to know how to do too! 🙂 I had a initial problem with…

This does sound like a good place to swap info about Real-3D. I look forward to the Imagine 2.0 upgrade too, but I sure like the way Real-3D works!
#13230- Real 3D Message #13321
From: Douglas Fleischman Amiga Arts Forum · Audio/MIDI November 20, 1991 7:14 PM
I will try to answer a few of the questions, but I have not had a lot of time with Real-3D yet. The editor is most like Imagine, but I like it better myself. I have used all you mention except Lightwave (no Toaster), and I feel that if I…

I have recently gotten 'Real-3D Pro' and feel this package is the fastest ray-tracer I have ever seen! Version 1.4 now has some really nice new capabilities with wire frames for making objects. The mail order price was a lot less than the retail price (not a shock), and it…

From: Douglas Fleischman Amiga Arts Forum · Videophile December 16, 1990 2:38 PM
So far, I haven't gotten a Genlock or a good video digitizer, so I think the Toaster will work real well for all my needs. It will be tough, but I think I will wait until the A3000 style Toaster comes out. Thanks for the info.

Then the Video Toaster can be considered a 24 bit video board for the Amiga? If this is true (and I think it is), then I am getting a toaster as soon as they can make it physically compatible with the A3000 (my machine here). Sorry for breaking into the…
#5106 AMOS Message #5333
From: Douglas Fleischman Amiga Tech Forum · General Programming December 15, 1990 9:10 AM
What I am really impressed by is the fact that AMOS runs just fine under AmigaDOS 2.0 on this A3000! That is more that can be said for AmigaBASIC. Something I would love to see is some more AMOS prgrams up on CompuServe that people can look at and try…
#5019 AMOS Message #5066
Well, it sounds like someone else out there likes AMOS at least as much as I do. 🙂 Yes, AMAL is very nice and I do look forward to the compiler, and even more, the 3D package! This will really slow down my learning of 'C' even more, and it…
#8051 AMAXII Buggy?! Message #8499

I am using AmaxII with a A3000 with 2 megs of chip and 1 of fast (which I will expand later). So far it has worked great for me and I feel it is a real nice emulator (and I am using it under 2.0!). Doug
#AMOS Message #5012
Has anyone else out there tried AMOS from the UK? I have gotten the latest version 1.2 and really like this language Seems there is a lot more that could be done with this other than just arcade games. Just wondering if anyone else has tried it out yet.

I have a A3000 as well and someday want a bridgecard as well (but I do really want a '386 or maybe a '386sx bridge then!) Something I have heard from another section of Compuserve is that you need to turn off the '030 cache in order to boot the…

The book states that QuarterBack Tools is fully compatible with the A3000 and 2.0. So far I have been using it and it seems they are right! 🙂

I would just like to get updates that have been released, and products like my copy of AmigaVision that should have been here some time back. CBM needs to work on keeping their paying customers up to date on software.

I don't like to flame on another Amiga user, so this won't be too 'hot', but hey, a lot of us out here like 2.0! Not to mention a lot of us really like the A3000. The one thing I wish I had is the update from 36.141, I know…
#118635 When 2.0 for 2000??? Message #118727
From: Douglas Fleischman AmigaTech Forum · System Software September 2, 1990 12:54 PM
Thanks for the info, I will check with my dealer and see what happens. But it does seem CBM should mail out information on updates since most of us do register our machines when we send in the warranty cards.

Hmmm…. I wonder what the KickStart 36.143 corrects, mine is 36.141. My WorkBench rev number is the same. Now if I just had 10 mmegs more harddrive space like SOME people have… 🙂 (grin)
#When 2.0 for 2000??? Message #118572

Every so often I call the store where I got my A3000 and ask about any 2.0 updates, the answer is allways 'we haven't had one yet'. I bought this 3000 the last week of June and has Kickstart version 36.141 and Workbench version 36.68. If the latest version 2.0…

One quick note, the Kickrebotot.LZH program I uploaded is excelllent (all 3000 users should have it), but I did not write it, . I did not want to imply this at all. Please check the docs for the name of the author and all credits. I hope it helps you…
A3000 Message #113966
If you want faster floppies on the A3000, I have found that FaccII still works, and it lets you set and reset how much memory you want to use for buffers. The 3000/1950 is on heck of a neat system!
#112923- Adding 2nd HD to A3000 Message #113964
I wasn't aware of that, now I know. Sometime I want to add another 30 to 40 megs to my 3000 as well, keep us informed of how things come together.
#109846 #3000 is here! Message #109856
The 3000's are in St. Louis too! As of Friday, the systems with deposits on them started showing up (one is mine, I will pick it up next week). So far the machines come without AmigaVision, but the store owner has a coupon I can send back to CBM to…
#A3000 in town Message #109781
The first A3000's have shipped to St Louis! I put a order in a little while back, and the first 3000's were in on 6-22. I guess I just sold my 2000 in time because sometime next week I will have the new machine (I hope). I am ready to…
For some time now I have had a bad CSA board, and today I noticed something! The board 'ran' at 14 MHz and the '020 and '8881 were both 12 MHz chips! Something I noticed when the board ran, is that the chips tended to get verywarm to the touch.…

If anyone could help me figure out why the new PIPE: device doesn't work with my setup I would be very thankfull. I am using ARP and WShell with 1.3, and I complicate matters by using CSA hardware and a GVP 40 partitioned into 2 20meg sections. The PIP: device…

Just wanted to say 'same here'with the bug. I like the 2000 keyboard as much as ANY keyboard I have ever worked with. Now if CBM just gets a quick fix to our dealers we will be all set!

I think it is worth the price. Amiga BASIC is buggy in spots and lacks a lot of features that True BASIC has like matrix operations. I would not feel comfortable without BOTH implementations now!
