From: Roger F. Becker Amiga Arts Forum · Applications October 13, 1993 3:15 PM
I'm trying to find scanning and printing drivers for the Canon CJ10 bubble jet copier/scanner/printer. Has anyone gotten this machine to work with an Amiga? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

#103698 SO CONN USER GROUPS?? Message #103762
Pat: I live in Stamford but have not been able to find a local user group. However, the last page (`And furthermore…') of the July issue of Amazing Computing contains a story about a very successful Amiga `event' at Bassets (now Borders) book store on High Ridge held in April.…

Chris: Thanks for the Seagate numbers. I'll call 'em. Roger
From: Roger F. Becker Amiga User Forum · Amiga Hardware March 8, 1993 8:14 AM
I'm trying to connect a Seagate 157N 48 MB drive to my GVP hard drive. There are two things I believe I need to do: change the Logical Unit Number (LUN) on the Seagate and add a terminator pack to the Seagate. Does anyone know how to do this? I…
MT-32 Caged Artist Message #27262
From: Roger F. Becker Amiga Arts Forum · DeskTop Video March 3, 1993 10:32 AM
!!!! WANTED !!!! I'm looking for a copy of Dr. T's 'MT-32 Caged Artist', a Roland MT-32 editor and librarian. Unfortunately, since Dr. T's released X-OR, they've discontinued their Caged Artist series. I'll gladly pay any reasonable amount, plus any shipping, for a used copy with documentation. Or, perhaps someone…

From: Roger F. Becker Amiga Vendor Forum · Softwood January 27, 1993 12:34 PM
Ric: With all due respect, that's got to be the stupidest position I've ever heard a software publisher take with regard to a user's suggestion. By your comment, 'dropping WordPerfect is a decision that has already been made,' do you mean to say that once a decision is made at…

From: Roger F. Becker Amiga Arts Forum · DeskTop Video February 28, 1992 10:09 AM
Melissa: Thanks for the tips. I haven't seen too many keyboards for under $600 (here in NYC) that DON'T have the auto accompaniment, etc. Maybe you could suggest a few kb's you've worked with, with SJ that're in the $800-$1,000 range (these'll typically discount here for under $700). Thanks again.…
#SuperJAM! & MIDI KB Message #16724

I'm looking for a MIDI keyboard to enjoy my SuperJAM! even more than I already do (if that's possible). Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I looked at the Roland E-5 today at Sam Ash and it sounds great. I guess it'll handle 8-32 note polyphony, depending on…

Rodger: Subliminal Seduction (and its sequel) most certainly does NOT only deal with sexually-oriented subliminal advertising. One of the most fascinating ads illustrated in the book is one for a bottle of scotch. The copy urges the consumer to think of just how much he really does love his buddies…

From: Roger F. Becker Amiga User Forum · Hot News and Rumors November 22, 1991 10:15 AM
andy: I presume the A690 is a CDTV-compatible CD-ROM drive for the '500? If so, where does it go, on the Expansion Bus? If it does go on the expansion bus, then could it run on a '1000, if the edge connector is flipped somehow? Roger

From: Roger F. Becker Amiga Arts Forum · Audiophile November 5, 1991 9:57 AM

Susan: Isn't that funny. A local HP dealer told me the same thing – the painjet looks better for color, even though it has 35% less resolution. That's how important having true black is. Hmmm. I really need to compare the output side by side. For b&w, I'm very happy…

Jeff: I have a 9-pin color (Star NX-1000) and a Toshiba 24-pin. I know 24-pin printers can look pretty good but I just don't like the way color dot-matrix output looks. On lower resolutions, it's too light for good color saturation and at higher resolutions it mutilates the paper. I…

Can anyone recommend a good color printer for around $500 – $600? I've been reading a bit about the HP PaintJet, but I haven't seen its output. Is it clean? How're the colors? Is there any banding? How's the speed? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Roger

I have a Kronos autoboot controller and a C Ltd. 48 meg hard drive that recently crashed. I've salvaged the drive and low-level formatted it, DOS formatted and restored all of the salvaged files. However, I'm running into a problem I had when I first bought the drive: whenever I…
