Sorry about that, I must have missed something somewhere…ProWrite on my 9-pin KXP-1080 (Panasonic) works really quite nicely…speed seems to be up there with the rest…but I did transfer the neww 1.3 drivers to my ProWrite disk.

Jim, I own ProWrite! (guess I should get that warrenty card in !!!), and am very satisfied with its performance. Henry indicated that he felt that the 1.3 drivers didn't improve speed any…although MY opinion (may not mean much) shows that on any printer the 1.3 drivers are almost 38-60%…

Henry !! I said it appears as though you shouldn't TRY and change on the fly not that it can't be done, but it appears to to be much better and easier changing after you have formatted your document.. John

Ron, never had that one happen to me …..YET!! :), but you cannot really type different fonts on the "fly"…you have to save the document and the change the fonts one by one after. Memory mapping on Excellence! seems to be very stable, as well as overall operating conditions. You…

It is possible that we were all expecting a little more but, my nine pin Panasonic also does a heck of a job with WB 1.3. But different people may view the printing differently. See 1.3 really for speed and works under second printer option screen.

as for CONVENTIONAL word processor's…..no its not as good as WordPerfect….but if 5.0 of WP (which by the way I saw in Chicago today as a demo on 286 machine) is adding the features I saw, then they may stand pretty much toe to toe…..I could only wish that Excellence!…

All, Excellence has a line rcognition bug, after changing fonts in documents the first line prints and then there appears to be an extra 1/16" gap in the space between it and the second printed line. The following lines appear to be correctly spaced. This bug is major cosmetic problem…
