Alex, A:M unfortunately does not support rendering directly to a PAR drive, you must first render to a DOS drive, then move the files… Version 3 will support direct to PAR drive rendering. As for your output problem, I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions, that's how we have ours…

#3081 #Background colors Message #3160
From: Steve/HASH, Inc. Animation Vendor A Forum · Hash, Inc. January 13, 1995 3:32 PM
We use black because it's the easiest to see the spline colors on… for instance, it would be difficult to see white on a grey background and white is important because it means the spline is deselected… If we had a preferences menu for the background, we'd also have to…

#2806 Splines vs. Polys Message #2845
From: Steve/HASH, Inc. Animation Vendor A Forum · Hash, Inc. January 4, 1995 6:58 PM
Chad, the big difference between spline modelers and polygons is spline/patch modelers create easily animatable organic models. Polygons simply can't do this! If you wan't spaceships and buildings, Polygons are fine…. trees, plants or people are much easier with patches AND you can do the other stuff too! Steve, Hash…
