David, Although I don't know much about the windows pallette, Bleck Belt has a product called WinImagesFX which will optimize *.flc's, *.tga's, ….. with a standard windows pallete. I believe their last upgrade (3.3?) specifically addressed all sorts of advanced pallette features. BlackBelt can be contacted online in the Animation…
#Key color thingy
Message #9291
GreG, about a million years ago, Blaq! was having a conversation with Mike H. about Impulse having removed the ability to specify a key color. I think 8^) .??? What I'm trying to do, for example, is the following: I've got your blinking dino (the cute one) and I am…
Steve, First of all, please excuse me if I've sent this twice! I'm a little mixed up again 8^) I'm interested in your DPS TBC. Is it the TBC IV? Can you give me the part number so that I can check that it is what I need? Also, is…
Steve, I'm interested in your DPS TBC. Is it the TBC IV? Can you give me the part number so that I can check that it is what I need? Also, is it brand new in the box? Does it work fine? I'll make a bid if it is the…
Thanks for the info Robert! Michael B.
Robert, I'm also considering buying a TBCIV. I was wandering, have you done much shopping around for the best price? If so, can you recommend a source? Michael B.
#WinImages … slow
Message #4209
Ben, I ordered your great program on January 6th. I was told it should get to me by January 27th. When I phoned and checked, on January 27th, I was told it would be mailed on February 6th. When I phoned and checked, on February 10th, I was told it…
Mike: Gee, I really appreciate the way you responded to your customers request! (this is sincere
Thanks for the info Ben! I ordered WinImages 3 from you guys this afternoon. You'll probably hear from me in a couple of weeks time when I start using the program. Michael Bates.
Hi Ben Just a note of clarification. I downloaded the Winimages thread after posting this message. I have since noticed the similarity between my name and Michael Brennan's name, especially confusing brecause I signed Michael B. Please note my question was with regards to the Windows version. I hope I…

Hi, I'm considering the purchase of WinImages/FX and hope you can help with the following: 1>Does WinImages/FX include WinImages Morph? 2>What is your current pricing? And, which programs, besides the morph programs listed in the info file, are applicable to the competitive upgrade? 3>I have Animator Pro and was planning…
Thanks for the help Don! No, my deck can't do that fancy stuff. But, maybe when I upgrade ….. Michael B.

John, I need to be educated on the fundamentals and hope you can help? I have a JVC Gr-sz7 (SVHS) camcorder, a DPS-PAR, and a VHS VCR. (I plan on upgrading to a SVHS VCR in a few months. Noted from prior threads … Panasonic AG1970 / Sony LV-R1000.) Audio…

Message #127147
I hope someone can help me with the following: There is a small ditty (?orchestral) that was theme music for a movie around 1977. I would like to use it in a few animations. 1: Is it possible to actually purchase the composition and production? 2: Would the cost be…
Ed, I'm really not an expert AniPro user like you , but here's what I use most: Numpic … by far. Starfield … actually I also wrote my own program (just changed some of the starfield code) to create slightly bigger stars (planets??). However, it was my first attempt at…
Brian, If it's just thin lines "buzzing" then AniPro can help a little. There is an Ink called "unbuz" (there's also unzag I think). This might not be a great solution because it softens the picture a bit but it does reduce some of the flicker. Michael B.
Thanks James, I was also a groping in the dark 'til you turned the light on. Michael B.
Thanks Blaq, I'll give it a bash!!
Sorry, sent it away last week! Michael B.
Blaq: Yup, the tube (pump) is really oddly shaped. I drew it in Autocad using the AME (solids) extension to precise dimensions. AME (solids) uses 3D primitives and boolean operations like Slice & Merge, only different . I then exported to a 3DS DXF and through POVCAD to an Imagine…
#Screw thread & Attribute
Message #85837
Two questions that possibly someone can help me with: First, I have a complicated object. It is a pump housing, kinda looks like an odd shaped open ended tube with lots of holes in it. I want the outside to be red paint and the inside to be shiny metallic.…
Christopher, POVCAD worked great thanks!!! Michael B.
Thanks Blaq, Yup I added a couple of textures, they look cool (g). Michael B.
Thanks Christopher, Michael B.
Christopher, I downloaded WINPOV (couldn't find POVWIN) and POVRAY2. However, I am completely unfamiliar with this program and can't find a DXF import command. Could you please go into a bit more detail about importing and exporting the DXF's. Michael B.
I'm quite sure that there are Imagine users who only hang-around GRAPHDEV. Most of them have IM2.0 (the one that came with ImageLab?). And, I'm sure they will appreciate the info as much as I do. Your 3DS comments are right on the mark (I have 3DS v2.1) and I…
Sorry Richard, Got a messsage a couple of hours before yours. However, there should be lots of IM3.0 users with extra IM2.0 manuals on this forum.!! Michael B.

Thanks again Mike! Michael B.
#Imagine CD, 3ds, ice
Message #85455
I'm scrounging for help again (be patient, I'm a dimwit) ;^) What's the status of the Imagine CD.??? Also, we all know the DXF format is screwy. Not even AutoDesk has got it right. Would it be beneficial to replace the IM30 DXF routines with 3DS importing and exporting??? I…
Mark: Thanks, I'll give it a bash!! May take me some reading time though. It's about time a tried a macro 8^). However, I figured out a messy way to do it. I overlay it three times. First onto a (253,253,253) background and then that flc onto a (255,255,255) background.…
I was just kidding about the upgrade. 8^) But, I do feel (hope) that another release is immenent. (however it's spelled??) Sorry, I didn't explain myself too clearly earlier. Here goes another try … The flic that I'm trying to overlay was created by a morphing program. The morphing program…
#key color
Message #109748
Hep me, hep me, I'm drownin! I'm trying to make a composition of two flics and have run into a trying situation. The area which I want to become transparent (key color) is actually not one color. It is a range of colors between (253,253,253) and (255,255,255). I'm importing 24bit…
#Wish List – more hype
Message #84256
IM3.0 continues to blow my socks off. And, I still haven't scratched the surface. However, trying to be pro-active, it would be great if Imagine incorporated the following: Marketing. I see lots of other, less capable, programs being reviewed and mentioned in the press releases of computer magazines all the…
Mike, Would it be possible for Impulse to upload a few sample objects created on the Digimax? Also, could you include time taken to input and any other pertinent information? Thanks, Michael Bates.
Charles, I've been off CServe for a week. On 16 May you asked why I wanted to pick points simultaneously on different objects. Well, you asked so here goes… I'm making a very basic animation which includes a 4X4 truck with a camper. (It's basic because I'm still climbing the…
Charles, Actually, I was drawing a truck with a camper kinda thing on the back. The camper, truck body, and undercarriage were three separate objects that were grouped together. I needed to manipulate points on each object all at the same time. Peter Greci and Impulse (Rick R) pointed out…
IM30 video and CD ???
Message #81574
Uhh, let's see … I've been away on holiday for 4 months but seem to remember a couple of different threads about the following: * An Imagine 3.0 how to Video tape * An Imagine gang (???) video tape showing what people have produced * Impulse was talking about possibly…
#Picking Points
Message #81536
I'm having trouble doing something quite simple and hope one of the forum experts can set me straight. I've drawn a truck which consists of 3 objects grouped together. In the detail editor I'd like to pick points from each object at the same time … that is, my selection…
Thanks David, I followed your directions and downloaded the latest LHA.EXE. It worked great…the objects are nice too! Michael.

Message #71481
David, Thanks for the good information, I never realized that there would be so much Imagine work in the other forums. I have down loaded an assortment of objects in both .LZH and .LHA form. However, I wonder if you can help with this… I have tried PKUNZIP.EXE (ver 2.04g)…
Brad, thanks for addressing this. I had the same questions and was also wandering if there were settings in the preference editor that affected the rendering. I thought I had probably missed something in the 2.0 manual. This'll put me on the right track too! Michael
