Frank, Is your system locking during a shuttle-search? My experience has been that the genlocked Amiga requires stable incoming sync during shuttle-searches and can be corrected by using house black as input source and then fed downstream to the switcher (provided the entire edit suite is genlocked to house black)……

Help! I recently purchased a Gold Disk Type (Video Series) AGFA Compugraphic outline font disk and haven't been able to successfully create Amiga bitmapped fonts using Gold Disks' supplied utilities. The font file format is not recognized by Fountain, so I am limited to using Gold Disks software. I have…

Bill, Granted, it is one thing for the magazine reviewer to point out the platform and another when the manufacturer does so. However, I guess I'm the optimist and believe that given the rate the Toasters are currently selling at (regardless of packaging) and the acceptance they've gained among the…

I recall testing the miniGEN several years ago and found the output barely passable. In my opinion, it isn't anywhere close to RS170A; but, in a consumer "fun" application, like home movies and such, it would be okay. – Lorenz K. Sievers –

A/Video issue February 1991 p.48 has an article dealing with "Important issues related to recording and editing audio for video." – Lorenz K. Sievers –
In Decembers A/Video magazine they review the "Hottest Products of 1991" and name the Toaster v2.0 as among the top 30 (on page 10). The accompanying blurb states: "In 1991, NewTek also unveiled two Toaster Workstations that can be used as stand-alone systems or as video peripherals for Macintosh and…

#14449 Video Titler Message #14476
From: Lorenz K. Sievers Amiga Arts Forum · Videophile January 2, 1992 4:36 AM
It's important to first define your needs in titling. Are you looking for titles generated and displayed "on-the-fly" or are you going to be generating "canned" titles to be used in post? Are you limiting yourself to software-only programs or considering combination hardware/software solutions. Is resolution important? Can you live…

I've seen print ads in Computer Graphics World, Computer Graphics, Audio/Video Magazine and Video Magazine (all professional magazines.) Also, when a burned-in image is present on the vidicon et al, a one-in-a-million chance remedy sometimes helps decrease the effect of the burn-in. Aim the camera at a white card under balanced light for several hours… I've seen it lessen the burned-in image to a faint grey ghost. This…
