Non of my TSR's have changed in quite a while. After I started having the crashes I bought the Norton virus and disk programs. >> Did you try booting with “clean'' Config.sys, and Autoexec.bat files? > Also, what about your mouse, or graphics drivers? > Have you run a diagnostic…
>> Don't waste your time with Imagine.
>> You seem to be plagued with nasty little annoyances lately. Good luck with the crash thing…you gotta hate that.
>> Of course, you must update the SIZE bar for the objects for it to take effect.
>> Hmmm….textures……maybe a texture got corrupted? This may surface during or sometime after Quickrendering.
>> The scene stayed in tact and all was fine. Just thought I'd let you know that it did work and is much easier that trying to reconstruct the scene placement.
>> I haven't heard of this type of behavior from anyone else either here in CIS
>> The world octree size error means that your scene is too large, that is, the area it's occupying has exceeded Imagine's world. The way to resolve this is to scale down the scene.
Well, GreG, it looks like the crashes I've been having are being caused by Imagine. I went out and bought Norton Utilities 8.0 and Norton antivirus and ran every type of test they had. No memory problems, no disk problems, no IRQ conflicts and no virus (viruses? viri?). Any other…
>> Good luck. And good luck on success w/your current project :^).
>> First, the Attributes Requestor, Brush Requestor, and Texture Requestor's will be unrecognizeable.
>> I'd imagine Imagine would be able to do something quite similar w/fog objects and procedural textures, right?
>> It may be hitting an area of memory at a high address that your system rarely even touches under normal everyday use.
>> With the Windows version this will be completely different, … I hope!

Hi John, Great image (of course). I have to know how you did the plasma Cloud. 3DS IPAS right? Looks great though. -Sam J. Bowling
>> I finally removed my CD-ROM (still from the stone age) with it's own controller and my two sound cards. Since then the problems were gone.
>> If you can get the object to load again, try performing MERGE on it at least three times. If the geometry is somehow corrupted this should repair it.
>> I'd access the PC File Finder and search for memory diagnostic tools.

Haven't heard anything about lightwave PC recently. truespace isn't (currently) worth what they're charging for it. If by IMG you are referring to Imagine I'd have to recommend that one (I use it). Imagine is probably the best power to price ratio you can find. Some people seem to really…

HELP! I was working on an object today and about halfway through it Imagine crashed. I have learned from my previous mistakes, so I had it saved and only lost a little work. When I Loaded the file after the crash The solid view looked like it had triangles going…

>> ZIPtag * Shell to DOS… come in DOS… Do you copy?
>> Hmm, I still think they need to turn down phong values a bit.
Thanks for all the info Tim. I'm just starting my first commercial project (Game artwork is all I can say), so I'm going to keep this short. >> Have you ever seen Greg Rostami demo Animation Master here in LA? He's been at numerous conventions including the VTU conference in…

>> And best of all, increased acting abilities have seemingly come out of nowhere and affected all the actors. Some of the episodes have had plot twists that have left me speechless. I've seen roller-coaster rides, revelations, sinister foreshadowing, and intricate plot development like I've never seen on any SF…

>> My favorite of the lot is Babylon 5. I don't care what anyone says…it's refreshing and IMO better than the idealistic tight-wearing star-fleet do-gooders. Don't get me wrong, I love ST, ST:TNG, VOYAGER, and to a degree DS9. But B5 is a great departure from the sterile world that…

Darin, I just got a look at your gumball.jpg. Looks great. The bottom even looks like painted metal. The only problem is that it came out REALLY DARK on my monitor, but that may just be my monitor. Great job. -Sam J. Bowling

>> My whole point is the first year of all the recent Sci-fi TV shows tend to have a lot of bugs their first year, but they seem to get worked out by the next season. Sooner or later the shows actually build a following and people tend to forget…
>> Take for example Tashia Yar. Did you really believe her to be a security officer. > How about the episod where she and data does the wild thing together. he goes in the room with a BIG SMILE. It was totally inconsistent with data's character.
Good points there, Adam. I don't think Voyager should even have the Star Trek name. I think the whole thing should have been laid to rest along with Gene Rodenbury. (sp?) I know if he was still around this show wouldn't be. -Sam J. Bowling
>> All stunk in their first year.
>> I've found it_very_difficult to sit through an entire episode.
>> We've only seen a half-season of Voyager yet. Remember what the first year of ST:TNG, DS9, and (ugh) the first year of Babylon 5 were like!

Ok, Tim. So to sum it up it would be a much more powerfull replacement for DXF right? -Sam J. Bowling
>> Once it's loaded it can be used over again with only a few bytes per additional copy used.
