#New Deskjet 500 Message #119036
From: Paul Dowgewicz AmigaTech Forum · Printers/Plotters September 4, 1990 5:06 PM
I've been reading on the HP Forum that HP has introduced a Deskjet 500 that now has waterproof ink and prints 3 pages/min. Its best feature, though is that it can print scalable fonts through Windows 3.0. Does anyone know if it's possible to duplicate the scalable font feature with…

From: Don Curtis/SYSOP AmigaTech Forum · Printers/Plotters September 4, 1990 12:50 AM
Tom, The printer driver makes sure the computer and the printer "talk the same language"…but that has nothing to do with a hardware problem which is what you have. Just like your printer won't work with the cable disconnected, it also won't work right if the cable isn't connected properly.…

Thank you Don, your first mesage kinda straigntened me out but I will go back and get GND on 19-30. I must assume your message had a typo in it when you said "…single wire is run to pin2 19-30…" as pin 2 = Data0. IF this is not the…

Dave, If you don't set the serial rate correctly…nothing will help. Find a manual, or go to an Apple dealer's and find out what baud rate the printer runs at….or how to set it to a specific rate. Then set your serial preferences for the same rate. Don

Michael – You don't need to find a printer driver for the XB2410, there are two drives in WB1.3 that already work well with this printer. The EpsonQ driver will work and the NEC_Pinwriter will also work. The entire Star line of printers are pretty much Espson clones and will…

Help! I need a driver for a Panasonic KX-P1124 printer. It is compatiable with the EpsonQ driver, but when used with ProWrite 3.0 it gives only a 360×180 dpi. The Panasonic is capable of 360×360. I would like to use the higher res if possible. Any suggestions would be welcome.
