According to my dealer, the 386 BB is NOT out yet. It is only available as part of a 3000 package. Stand-alone versions are not yet shipping. My dealer also says that Commodore is delaying release to get rid of as many 286's in stock as they can.

Probably newer versions of the BIOS are supposed to be available at authorized dealers. This is a nice thought; however, my experience has been that dealers' support of the Bridgeboard is abysmal. Probably a better source would be your local clone-monger.

Right, this did turn out to be the problem. With the help of my dealer, we pulled the power supply, and sure enough, there was the J300 jumper set to the wrong (non-default) position. Setting it right cleared up the problem. Don

Yes, there is a way to access fonts from BASIC. It involves library calls to the diskfont.library and the graphics.library. It's a little too involved to explain in total, but I have some example code I can deliver it via EMail to you if you're interested.
